How Do You Look at Your Life?

“If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more.

If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.”
Oprah Winfrey

Have you ever read The Secret or learned about the Laws of Attraction?  Have you ever read The Game of Life and How to Play It?  Surely there are more books which explain these topics, but in a nutshell, here’s the message:

“What you concentrate on, grows.” ~ Y.D.

So as you go about your day today, concentrate on the good, the blessings, the happy moments.  Times may feel difficult for you and there may be sadness as well ~ honor those feelings and then get back on the red carpet of your life.  You know, most mornings, I imagine that there’s a red carpet laid out in front of me and all I have to do is to follow it ~ kinda like the yellow brick road that Dorothy followed home.  My job is to simply stay on my path and keep trying to inspire, to do good, to help others (and myself) and to be the best person I can be.  When I break it down to that simplicity (stay on the red carpet), things go my way, I can get a lot done and I feel like I”m serving my purpose.

What about you?  What’s your secret to looking at your life?

Please share below!

Empower Your Life Easily With Spiritual Laws!

Above is a portrait of an author that you may not have heard of before now.  I found her picture and within 2 minutes, I put her picture in the frame above, typed in her name/dates, pressed save and copied my latest card to my blog.  Literally 5 minutes to do…just wanted to show you that my pictures are always cards that either I’ve made or ones from our catalog.  That’s the fun of SendOutCards…but…

I’m on a roll and I want to take you with me…I’ve learned a lot in my life and I think the time is now for me to share it!  It’s the tidbits, the little and big things that I find that make my life so much easier, happier and can help me when my days are not all sunshine and rainbows or when I need a little pick me up!

I was talking with BAngel recently and I was telling her about a book that I am re-reading for perhaps the 8th time.  It’s easy reading…a pick up and put down book that will delight you, will make you think (but not too hard) and will easily change your perspective!  KAngel gave me the book years ago and I was quickly taken with it.  In fact, it’s one that I reread on a regular basis, much like many reread the Secret.  Have you read the Secret?  It came out back in 2006 in case you missed it!  It’s an easy read and there’s even a dvd for it as well as other books.

However, I’m going back to 1925…long before the popular Secret ~ to a time when a woman who was an artist and an metaphysics teacher in New York named Florence Scovel Shinn wrote 4 amazing books.   She had the ability to explain her success principles and how they worked in an entertaining and easy-to-read manner.  By sharing real-life stories she illustrated how positive attitudes and affirmations invariably succeed in making you a “winner” in life and able to control life’s conditions and release abundance through a knowledge of spiritual law.

Florence had quite the following back in her hey day!  In 1925, Florence published “The Game of Life and How to Play It”  herself because she didn’t have a publisher at the time.

Her next book, “Your Word is Your Wand” was published in 1928.

“The Secret Door to Success” was published in 1940 shortly before her death.

The “Power of the Spoken Word” is a compendium of her notes, gathered by a student and published posthumously in 1945.

All 4 books are a wonderful reminder that YOU CAN EMPOWER YOUR LIFE!

So join me ~ for some old time favorites which will change your life in ways you never imagined!

Thanks for your support…seriously…

I just wanted to say,

Thanks for your all your support.

Seriously.

Well, as you know I had breast cancer so when I saw this card, and being that I haven’t written a Thankful Thursday in awhile, I felt like this was the one for today!

I am so grateful for my life and I am truly blessed.  I’ve been reading The Magic (The Secret) by Rhonda Byrne and have adopted a new habit which I am really liking…

I list 10 people, places, things, experiences for which I’m grateful every morning and night.  Most times, I am only able to complete it in the morning before rising from my bed because at night, I fall asleep while ticking off my list.  I love that I am falling asleep feeling grateful.  I even starting highlighting one special moment/person of the day in my gratefulness.

I am thankful  for _____  because _______.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It’s eye-opening when you realize all that you have to be grateful for as we take so much for granted.  This morning I easily counted on my fingers my 10 and even started counting on my toes before the alarm clock broke my reverie.

Can you quietly think of 10 thank you’s right now?  Try it!

Counting our blessings ~

putting your attention on the good in your life ~

only brings more into it!

My list tonight will begin with being thankful for all of you ~ my readers and our connections!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
