Misifusa was born wearing rose-colored glasses ~ always the dreamer, she looked to romance, to daydreams and to possibilities and never let go of the word HOPE.  She hardly ever arrived early to any appointment nor meeting in her life with the one exception ~ her wedding ~ to which she arrived early as she was so happy to be marrying her husband whom she loved with all of her heart.  He stood by her throughout her lifetime, always standing by her side, holding her hand and lending her his strength when she was weak.  Theirs was a special love ~ a mutual understanding as only 2 Pisces can merge and unite.  Their wedding song was to be a theme throughout their lifetime together, “I love you just the way you are,” and they radiated that love and kinship throughout their blessed marriage.

Misifusa was blessed with 2 incredible sons with her husband.  She adored them and was so proud of who they are ~ she enjoyed every moment with them and always saw the best in them.  Their house was filled with love and peacefulness.  She always felt so grateful that she was blessed with their sons.  They brought her much joy, laughter and peace.

She also enjoyed her cats and felt an amazing bond with most animals, with the big exception of snakes and birds.  She was fond of fresh flowers and had an array of orchids growing in her home.  She disliked housework and cooking and enjoyed a good meal out with her family ~ laughing and smiling.  She was fond of calling her faults “her charms” and many wished she weren’t so ‘charming’ but she found it whimsical and fun to love her whole self.

People naturally flocked to her and she always rooted for the underdog.  She loved helping others and listening to their stories.  Nothing made her happier than when she could make a difference in someone else’s life.  She adored helping them to shift their thinking and to help them to see the light in the darkness.  She strove to shine like a star in the darkest night, hoping that by her example, she could inspire others to find faith, hope, love and joy in their everyday lives.

She survived breast cancer and other health issues which knocked her down for a bit, but she overcame them with sheer endurance and lots of love from her family and her talented doctors.  Her role as the peace-maker was self-given and she reveled in trying to help others to find peace in their lives and with others.  She felt her intuitiveness and found strength in her faith, relying on angelic help when she encountered sadness.

She enjoyed her SendOutCards business as it brought her much joy to send out love to others.  Her published books were a cathartic writing which was well-received by readers all over the globe.  She loved revisiting Spain where she had lived for a time and spoke fluent Spanish which she taught for 11 years in the public school system.  She found peace at the beach, watching the waves roll in.  She loved being on the water and would awaken early just to watch the sunrise in the peacefulness of the mornings with her cup of coffee.

She loved her family and friends and drew great strength from them as well.  She adored singing, reading, writing and relaxing with family and friends.  At times she could be fearless, but mostly she was conservative in her actions to her chagrin.  She launched the highly successful The Presents of Presents and could often be found traveling the world after her boys graduated college.  She was grateful for everyday and her mantra was:  Yesterday was the past, tomorrow is the future.  Today is a gift, that’s why it’s called THE PRESENT.

‘Tis the Season to Send Out Love

‘Tis the SEASON OF LOVE and LIGHTS!

I awoke before dawn this morning as I often do and as I rose from my warm bed after gently kissing my sleeping husband next to me, I padded down the hall, kitten tumbling along by my side, to visit both my children’s sleeping forms to plant a kiss on their foreheads ~ so very grateful, especially today, to have them home, safe, healthy and hopefully dreaming of sugar plums in their heads.  Don’t you feel it’s the little things that count so much this Sunday morning?

Before bed last night, I came upon a beautiful post http://robincoyle.wordpress.com/2012/12/14/want-to-send-a-card-to-sandy-hook-elementary-school/  which I simply have to share…as it gave such a simple, yet wonderful idea that I am reblogging it.   Yesterday I asked you to Send Out Love, breathing in and out Love to All…https://misifusa.wordpress.com/2012/12/15/in-loving-tribute/ and now today, I will ask you again for a few moments of your time.

When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, I received so many loving cards in the mail from my school community and my students (I taught 8th grade at the time).  Their heartfelt notes and caring words helped me as I began the difficult process of healing by soothing my mind, heart and soul with the prayers and healing thoughts that I received.  Now 10 years later, I still remember the powerful healing effect their cards had on me ~ and I am ever grateful for the powerful loving light which surrounds me even today.  This is probably why, when I was introduced to SendOutCards, I instinctively understood the power of a heartfelt message in a card.

I feel like I’ve been given the biggest Christmas gift and I want to share it with you…please take a moment, click on my link below and follow the easy instructions to make a free card to send to the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School.  If you send out love to them, I will pay for the card and postage.  You only need 10 minutes and a computer.  You can be anywhere in the world ~ it matters not ~ so please don’t feel that you need to be in the US to participate ~ and you can do it at any time!   Up at 3am because you can’t sleep?  Hop on your computer!  The instructions are in English, Spanish and French!  Just watch the quick video in the language of your choice and then click SEND A FREE CARD ~ and voila ~ you’re on your way to sending the card of your choice, writing your message and having it sent for you!

Imagine the healing power of your words ~ imagine if we as a blogging community could SEND OUT LOVE and healing thoughts and prayers to those who are hurting ~ especially during this holiday season…imagine the ripple effect across the world…one baby step at a time…imagine what we accomplish when we connect with others ~ one light at a time!

So please, click below on my website…it’s my gift…take a moment to send a free card on me.

Together we Light up the Darkness…

Oh my Deer ~ December 1st!

Hello Everyone!  Happy December First!  You know what you need to do now, right?  Say “Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit White Rabbit!”   If you are scratching your head and wondering what in the world I’m talking about ~ see my post on this monthly family ritual!  https://misifusa.wordpress.com/2012/09/01/rabbit-rabbit/

But that’s not the only reason so sound the alarm for December 1st!  It’s also time to think of your holiday cards and gifts!  I know, I may sound like a commercial, but because SendOutCards does not advertise, you can only hear about it via word of mouth ~ from one system lover to another!  So that’s why I write about it!  I love this company so much for what it stands for, for how easy it is to use, for how inexpensive it is to send a card, a gift and to make something special with my own pictures, videos and logos…you only pay for what you use ~ and it brings a priceless smile to everyone!

I was playing the photostore the other day, making ornaments for friends/family, working on a 2013 family calendar (shh…it’s a secret!) and even trying my hand at making playing cards for our family with our years’ pictures on the cards!  But that’s all for another day…

Today, I give you a little present…check out our webinars for SendOutCards…they are free, informative and let them know that I sent you!

Make your holiday cards and gifts special!

Shine On!

Gratitude 29 ~ Gracias Gracias Gracias

At age 12, my Dad brought me to my first Broadway play which was Evita.  I remember it was also the first time I wore high heels which he had bought for me.  Dad loved listening to the music from Evita and we listened to it over and over while we played checkers & backgammon in the living room at night.  It was then that I think my love for the Spanish language began and stayed with me.

I remember knowing the lyrics of the entire show and I sat on the edge of my seat the entire time, lip-syncing every word so as not to bother the people in front of me.  I was mesmerized by the story, the music, the lights ~ the entire experience.  I will always remember Patti LuPone and subsequently Madonna for their portrayals of Evita Peron.  When Evita the movie came out, Dad bought me the dvd…it was our special bond.

I began learning Spanish around the same time and I remember my Dad telling me that it was my only talent and that I should pursue it.  Mathematics was not my strong point, but languages ~ well there, I excelled.  I spent my Junior Year in Malaga, Spain where I fell in love with all things Spanish and felt so very much at home that my parents feared I wouldn’t return to finish my last year of university in the States, but I did.

So today I am thankful for my Dad’s wisdom and introduction to Spanish.  So Dad, today'[s gratefulness goes to you.

Gracias, Gracias, Gracias…
