Happy Belated Bunny

happybelatedbunny

I’ve been remiss in writing lately.  It’s been busy here and I missed our Rabbit Rabbit for the month of April!  I’m so sorry!  Did you miss my friendly reminder?  Did you remember to say Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit White Rabbit?  Well, here’s your reminder for May!  Make sure you say it!

This is Clover, my resident bunny.  This was taken in April before the spring garden cleaning, hence the sticks and tall grass.  Since the photo, we’ve started getting the yard ready for Spring.  Have you started too?

Clover has grown and it’s so great to see her out and about now that Spring has sprung!  She’s not fearful at all of me which I find endearing and I’m careful not to scare her either.  However, her friend Mr. Grumpy Gopher (at least that’s what I think he is – or maybe he’s a groundhog?) doesn’t stick around to see if I’m going to talk sweetly with him.  As soon as he sees me, he scampers off as fast as his fat belly allows him!

Do you have a lot of wildlife in your yard?  I’ve been hearing the birds lately too, especially the cardinals.  All the fun of Spring growth is here and I can’t wait for the warm weather to not just tease us but actually arrive!

Here come the May flowers!  Keep shining your heartlights!  We need all the sunshine and warmth that our hearts can share!

Shine On!

Remembrance on All Saint’s Day

angels

Today is All Saint’s Day on the Catholic calendar.  It coincides with my deceased father’s birthday which makes the day one of remembrance for me.  I think of all those who have passed before me and I took a moment for each of them this morning when I awoke to say a prayer for them.  I think it’s important to remember those who have gone before us and the gifts that they have given to us, the lessons we learned and the knowledge that we now have because of our experiences with them.

A new month for me is a beginning, just like each dawn heralds a new day and another chance to begin again.  Peacefully I lay my head on the pillow at night, resting my brain and allowing whatever foibles of the day to be forgiven.  I arise in the mornings with a fresh slate to do the best I can for myself and everyone else with whom I come into contact.

It is a blessing to be here today as it is everyday.  I am grateful as I am sure you are too to be able to breathe, to live and to love.  Sometimes it’s hard work to get through the day, but at the end of it, I hope that you find a soft, comfortable place to lay your head, your heart and your mind.  Today, I am reminded to communicate with my soul and with others on a soul to soul level for each of us carries the baggage of life experiences.  Oftentimes, at least for me, I find I forget to reconnect my heartstrings to my soul’s essence, to find gratitude in the experiences I’ve been delivered and to look for the blessings in each and every moment.

So today, take my hand…let’s walk baby steps towards the light.  Let’s remember those who have passed with gratitude for their heartlights.  Let’s connect with those who are here on Earth and appreciate them.  Let’s smile, laugh and love all those souls.  Let’s be the peacekeepers here on Earth.  Let’s look to the Heavens with our heartlights shining and embrace the love that is ours by Divine Right.  Let’s be in this moment, filled with peaceful loving energy and know in our hearts that we are embraced by God’s light and love.

Shine On!

P.S.  And don’t forget to say, Rabbit, Rabbit! ♥

Autumnal Changes

autumn

These are those hazy days when summer and autumn meet and blend as one fades and the other picks up its place in the change of seasons.  Winds blow, gently shaking the turning leaves from their branches.  Flowers wither, returning to Earth’s bed for a long winter nap.  Air cools, stuffing the humidity from the air with briskness.

I love the change in seasons.  For as much as many dislike change, we seem to welcome the change in seasons easily.  Perhaps if we could welcome change in our lives as easily, we could welcome with courage instead of shrinking in fear the changes that are inevitable in our lives.

Seasons change.  Relationships change.  We clear out the old to make way for the new.  It does not serve us to stay closed in our boxes in fear of the winds of change that blow.  It only serves us to ride the winds of change into the next chapter of our lives.

With all the full moon, eclipse and blood moon in addition to the astrological changes, along with the equinox, we’ve had a bunch of changes in a row.  Keep your face to the sunshine dear friends.  Changes blow out the old and present the new.  One baby step at a time, change is good.

Hey, it’s October First!  You know what you have to do right?  Repeat after me, “Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit!”

Happy Fall Y’All!

Shine On!

It’s a New Day and a New Month!

finish

“Finish each day

and be done with it.

You have done what you could.

Some blunders and absurdities

have crept in;

forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day.

You shall begin it serenely

and with too high a spirit

to be encumbered

with your old nonsense.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

December 1st!  You know what that means, don’t you?  Rabbit Rabbit!   And we could all use a little luck and good wishes as the holiday month begins ~ full of fun, festivities and frolicking children!  Take a moment to allow the quote above to seep in when you are feeling blue or when the day has been too much.  You begin anew with the dawn of a new day.  So lay your tired body and sleepy head upon the pillow.  Let the day’s burdens and body’s weariness be released from your soul.  Rest peacefully and allow yourself to rejuvenate your mental, physical and emotional energy throughout the night so you can awaken to a new day filled with endless possibility, light and love.

It’s a new day ~ a new month!

Shine On!

P.S.  Thank you for all of your loving support! ♥♥♥

Go Ahead…Make Waves

10552436_10203645006477663_8216603095335004130_nDon’t worry if you’re making waves simply by being yourself.

The moon does it all the time.  ~ Scott Stabile

Rabbit Rabbit to you!  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then please click here!

A friend shared this with me and I knew I had to share it with you.  Sometimes we tremble when we want to let it all hang out and be ourselves.  But the moon which does it all the time is admired!  This was just a great way to change the way you are thinking, don’t you think?  Don’t believe it is your destiny to just cower and think small.  No, my friends, it is your Divine Right to be yourself, to shine on and to be as big as the moon which we all look up to every night as it shines brightly in the night sky amongst the sparkling stars!

Shine On!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

spring
April Showers

Life is not a highway strewn with flowers,
Still it holds a goodly share of bliss,
When the sun gives way to April showers,
Here is the point you should never miss.

Though April showers may come your way,
They bring the flowers that bloom in May.
So if it’s raining, have no regrets,
Because it isn’t raining rain, you know, (It’s raining violets),
And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list’ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.

And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list’ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.
