We Want Action!

7781_ “Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence.

Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear.

Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps

different action or adjustments will have to follow.

But any action is better than no action at all.”

– Norman Vincent Peale

So if you’re finding yourself a bit unmotivated for whatever goal you have in mind, then join me.  Let’s get a little action going in our lives!  Let’s do one thing today to start us on our journey to reach our goal!  Just one thing…or two…or three if the feeling continues!  I have found that once I begin, sometimes I find it easier to continue, but it’s that STARTING that I stumble on.

‘I want you to succeed’ is what a friend recently told me…so in honor of SAngel, let’s begin!  Roll out the red carpet and let’s take baby steps towards our goals!

Today, we want ACTION!

Share with me…what’s your goal?  What’s your first step that you’re doing today?

Take my hand, together we can do anything!

Come on, I’m your biggest fan!

The Secret of Success

73167707_

“People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things.

When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success.”
—Norman Vincent Peale

In stretching out of my comfort zone these last few weeks, I’ve found that when I let go of all of the stuff I carry around in my head, you know, those nagging thoughts of negativity, I’m finding that success is coming my way.  I’m becoming less attached the the outcomes and more involved in the taking of baby steps towards my goals!  Are you having the same experiences?

Have  you been stretching these past few weeks with me?  Are you finding that your life is opening up a bit more for the better?  Let me know what’s going on with you!  If I can help in any way, you know I’ve got my hand held out for you!  When I focus on simply stretching out of my comfort zones everyday in whatever shape that takes, I am finding that I am enjoying life more ~ I am having more success ~ I am making more connections with others ~ and in turn, I am able to help others to find their success as well!

Norman Vincent Peale wrote many inspirational books, one being  The Power of Positive Thinking.  Even though this book it was originally published in 1952,  its fundamental truths continue to hold today.

So, on this Happy Monday, I thought I’d start the week off with a bit of success for us all!  I am grateful to Paul Mark Sutherland for today’s quote ~ please click here  to be directed to his blog called Goal Habits.com which is one of my favorites that I read every morning for inspiration!

Banish Worry

71348285_

“The key to transformation is to make friends with this moment.

What form it takes doesn’t matter. Say yes to it. Allow it. Be with it.” (Guardians of Being)

from Eckhart Tolle’s Present Moment email this morning!

Yesterday’s worry post and today’s email from Eckhart made me think that there was more to say about worry.  So, I searched in our friendly WP reader to see what others had to say about worry and boy do we WP bloggers have a lot to say!  I just picked up a few links to share with you, but I thought they were all interesting ways to deal with worry.  Many come from a spiritual place, allowing faith in God to thwart the evil worry gene, while others use simple quote reminders to eradicate worry from our brains.

Either way, I thought it would be a great moment to expand our village in order to loosen the bonds of worry in our lives.  I hope you enjoy a few bloggers that you may not have seen before ~ and perhaps you’ll learn a new quote to help you get rid of worry in your life once and for all!

*I took the liberty of making some of their quotes into posters and cards with my SendOutCards account.  See my post https://misifusa.wordpress.com/2013/04/11/make-this-world-a-better-place//  for more information.

“Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. Make all your friends feel there is something special in them. Look at the sunny side of everything. Think only the best, be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give everyone a smile. Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others. Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.”  —Norman Vincent Peale
