If Wishes Were Horses…

My mother’s southern family used to say:

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.

Have you ever heard that saying?  Whenever I’ve said it to someone else, they have looked at me as if I’d lost my mind and always asked me to repeat it.  When I did, they’d be still stumped, wondering why in the world I chose that expression.

But for me, with a yard full of dandelions that have sprouted up seemingly overnight, are being snacked on by the birds and spreading their cheery yellow faces and wishes to the winds, it seems appropriate.

Because I’ve got wishes galore and lucky for me, I’ve got all the dandelions to wish on!

So on this rainy Wednesday, I’m sharing my wealth of wishes with you.  Please imagine yourself virtually stopping by to wish upon a dandelion with me.  I will tenderly pick you one of those white puffballs with the exposed seeds and hand it to you.  Together we can blow on it and send the seeds flying into the air onto the breeze as you make your special wish to the Universe.

Believe me, I have plenty of dandelion wishes, so come and enjoy a wish from me to you!  I have plenty to share and would love to lift your wish to the Universe in hopes that all your wishes are fulfilled!

What Does Seeing a Shooting Star Mean?

Good morning to you!  Can you please help me?  Last night, I was outside at a party, talking with family and friends, but my mind was elsewhere.  I was quietly looking up at the night sky, admiring the stars when I saw a shooting star!  I haven’t seen one in years and although I was with other people who were talking, I guess nobody noticed it but me.  And I didn’t say anything.  I just kept the moment for myself because I felt it was special.  But I was distracted moments later, before I could make my wish and so now I’m asking for your help.

The Rainbow Connection

Yesterday my son and I went out to the bus as we do every morning and it was he who happened to turn around to see this spectacular sight!  I rushed to get my phone from my pocket to take the photo as it only lasted a minute or two before the cloud and rainbow dissipated.  I am so grateful that we were able to capture it as I had never seen this before ~ and I am so sorry that the photo is fuzzy because it was truly amazing.

But it reminded me in a gentle way as many nudges from the Universe/God/Source/Spirit come ~ to take time to see all the nuances of life during the hustle and bustle season.  And according to the Muppets, to make a wish on the morning moon star, especially if it encompasses a rainbow!

So here I am…

My wish is for love to encompass the Earth, fill all of our hearts with its magic

and to bring peace as well to all mankind.
