I confess, I Love Lucy! Sure there are other comediennes that have made me laugh, but there’s something about Lucy that just touches my heart. Do you know what I mean? Lucille Ball, with her red hair, always seemed to have such a friendly way about her. She was the gal you wanted to have as your friend, even if like Ethel, you’d be lead to do crazy things.
Do you remember the show? Lucy and Ethel would always get into silly messes and it was by pulling together in friendship that they would eventually triumph. Ricky and Fred (their husbands) would either get hoodwinked or join in the fun. Like a good sitcom, there was a happy ending and lots of hugs and smiles. All would be right even though there might have been a bit of trouble during the show.
I think there’s something to the whole “I Love Lucy’ philosophy though in how to stay young. Be curious, don’t be afraid to get what you want. Be kind, but be yourself and don’t apologize for it. Be optimistic. Surround yourself with family and friends who love you for who you are and will join you when you suggest trying even the most outrageous silly things! Don’t worry, just be happy! I could go on and on, but you get my drift by now, don’t you? I have so many favorite episodes ~ the wine making, the one with Harpo, the one with Bob Hope, oh I think all of the ones with the famous actors who guest-starred on the show~ what are your favorites? Let’s share below for a giggle start to our day today!
I wish you an I Love Lucy day ~
surrounded by happy loving people, laughing and smiling all day long!
