No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another. ~ Author Unknown
I can only speak/write for myself. But to me, the above quote is priceless. Have you thought about your legacy? How you will be remembered when you have passed? Will it be because you had the cleanest house, the perfect outfit, the most toys? Or will it be because you were there when another person needed a helping hand, a tender hug and understanding? Perhaps because I have contemplated my own passing due to cancer and we are approaching the anniversary of my father’s passing that this quote strikes such a chord for me.
What are you striving for in this life?
You are the only person who can answer that question truthfully. I’m not saying to disregard working hard, having luxuries in life or doing your best out in the world at large. I believe you can marry wealth of spirit with financial wealth. It needn’t be one or the other. But I believe that the richness one feels when connecting with another person to help them to heal, far outweighs the riches of the world.
Does that make sense to you?
So I want to thank, each and every one of you, for lightening the burdens in my life. I hope that you find peace, love and understanding in my blog for that is my intention. I hope you feel this place is a refuge in which you can feel loved, lighten your burdens and feel that peace when you know you are understood. We all have troubles, both big and small, financially, with our health, with our families, with our lives. But it is how we deal with them that makes the difference.
It takes courage to be vulnerable, to open up and to share our experiences. It is like a medicine when I write to you for it helps to heal myself and perhaps someone else. It delights me when we exchange ideas and we learn from one another. It is a movement of goodwill when we act with kindness towards one another, holding hands and hearts with great tenderness.
You are cherished.
You are loved.
