Imagination Enhances the Creativity of the Soul

imaginationisthecreativityofthesoul

The thought that imagination is the creativity of the soul came to me.  When was the last time you used your imagination?  As children we imagine all sorts of things when we freely play.  I remember playing house, making mudpies and pretending I was a wife and mother.  I remember imagining I was a princess.  I remember imagining I was free to fly like a bird!

What do you remember about your childhood and using your imagination?

Better yet, when was the last time you used your imagination?  As adults I believe we put away our imaginations in order to be ‘grown up’ and deal with ‘reality’ because that’s what we are told that grown ups do.  However, imagination is a wonderful tool to improve our grown up lives as well and it’s one I think we don’t use enough.

Imagination allows the soul to flourish, to blossom and to achieve what our limited minds cannot.  Goals and dreams can become reality when we use our imaginations, but often, we find imagination a childish whim and discard the powerful tool we have been given.

Dr. Wayne Dyer wrote a book called, You’ll See it When You Believe It:  The Way to Your Personal Transformation.  In this book, he shows how to improve one’s quality of life by tapping into the power within in order to direct the course of one’s destiny.  In other words, using your mind/imagination to make things happen!

Give yourself permission to use your imagination in your everyday life.  Imagine the plethora of possibilities with positivity!  Imagine what your life would feel like to be happy, healthy, and limitless!  Just do this a little everyday and let us know how life changes for you!  I imagine life will improve for you!

Palm Reader Channeled ~ Message For Everyone

palmreader

The Daily Prompt today asks the question:    You’re on a long flight, and a palm reader sitting next to you insists she reads your palm.  You hesitate, but agree.  What does she tell you?

When she takes my hands into hers, I feel a slight electric buzz, but knowing I am nervous, I shrug off the coincidence.  But is it a coincidence or is it our energy flowing from one soul to another?  Her hands are warm and dry and I feel mine begin to sweat.  My mind pinballs back and forth between thinking this is just a lark and fearing that she has the capacity to read me.  She knows this as she senses my apprehension and yet my willingness to literally put my palm in hers.

She gazes into my eyes and I decide to relax and go with the flow.  My mind still is alert with worry as I do not know this woman at all.  She is a stranger, but dressed in normal clothing.  But there is something angelic about her that I can’t pin down.  But I am trying to show her that I am not afraid of what she may reveal, yet I am worried that she’ll see into my soul with precision.  I assure myself in my mind that I have nothing to hide, but there is a sense of anxiety buzzing through my body.

“Rest easy, dear one.  This experience will not hurt, but only help you as you wander on your life path,” I hear her say and yet her lips do not move.  For a moment I’m stunned, wondering if she is telepathically speaking to me or if it were my Guardian Angel or God or maybe I’m losing my mind.

She nods ever so slightly as the thoughts fly through my head.  She knows what I am thinking!  Yikes!

Without a sound, she turns my palms over to face her and gently holds my hands with hers.  Nervous energy excites and frightens me at the same time.  She lets out a deep breath as I do as well.  Mine is to expel the pent up nervousness.  I wonder what hers is?  A clearing in order to read me?

She drops her gaze and studies my hands quietly.  I feel myself relax and a warm serenity envelopes me.  It’s as if we are in our own bubble in the world.  She closes her eyes for a few moments and her breathing deepens.  I can feel our energies mixing.  I am willing to allow her to read me.

“What I am about to say, may not make sense to you now, but one day it will.  Your life line is long, but breaks in various places.  You have witnessed deaths and have been a death’s door yourself.”

I nod, not daring to speak.

“You are an empath soul, which means you love completely.  You feel what others do.  You are compassionate and a giver.  This trio causes you much pain and yet reaps much joy for your soul.  You are surrounded by a white light and many lessons.  You are not finished with your journey here yet.  You have much to learn, more to grow and many to teach.  Your spiritual awareness is growing, but you fear the acceptance of this knowledge for it makes you different.  But you are already different from the many people who surround you.  You know this, but it feels solitary at times.  Do not weep dear one, for you are never alone.  Your journey is fraught with emotion, spiritual awakenings and compassionate understanding for yourself and others.  You are tested.  You do not fail, if you believe it to be so.  The key of self-worth, knowing you are perfect, whole and complete in the Lord’s eyes will benefit you so remember who you are.  Do not allow the superficial world to sway you.  You are gifted and you must use your gifts and your power for good.”

We had both been staring at my palms as she spoke quietly, murmuring the reading for my ears only.  In such a soft voice, she continued her reading.

“I see hardship.  I see tears.  I see betrayal.  I see forgiveness.  I see love.  I see light.  I see your Divine Purpose coming to fruition as you grow, learn and accept.  I see acknowledgement, acceptance and spiritual understanding increasing day by day.  Do not be content, but strive to learn, to grow, to universally connect with others.  You will be taught and you will teach, that is the give and take of this lifetime.”

I began to choke back the tears that were falling rapidly from my eyes, running down my cheeks with alarming abandon.  My nose was feeling drippy, but I hesitated to break the spell.

“Look with favor on this chosen path.  Allow yourself the freedom to be yourself, to speak from your heart and to allow others to hear what they choose.  Be one with the Spirit of the Divine.  You are human.  Mistakes are made, but the angelic reminders of your life will remain in small moments of the memory of others.  Do not be afraid of financial gain.  Put it to good use in order to spread peace with others.  Connect with your blessings.  Begin again without fear.  Remind yourself often that each day begins a new dawn full of possibility.  Live to your fullest ability for we know not our expiration date.  Be kinder to yourself and others.  Err on the side of love for that is where your strength lies.  Meditate.  Visit Mother Nature daily.  Pray.  Sing.  Patience, dear one.  Time reveals your golden path.”

Sniffling and trying not to gross her out, I began breathing deeply, as the sadness which had overwhelmed me by her words faded away gently without warning.  She turned my hands over, clasping them in hers with a warm, long hold and then released my hands.  My fingers fumbled through my purse immediately to find a tissue to sop up the wet mess that was my face and nose.  She turned slightly in her seat to face the front of the plane, laid her hands in her lap and closed her eyes.  I didn’t dare disturb her.  Blowing my nose with embarrassed gusto, tissue after tissue, I dried my face, setting myself back in order.

As I leaned back into my seat again, I peeked over, but she was motionless, eyes still closed.  I turned my head to look out the window at the sky.  The most gorgeous rainbow I have ever seen appeared as if by magic.  A smile grew on my lips as a warm sense of serenity spread throughout my body.  I eagerly watched as the rainbow faded away as miraculously as it had appeared.  I closed my eyes and fell into a gentle sleep.

I awoke to her nudging me as I felt the plane’s wheels hit the runway at our destination.  She smiled at me, looking into my eyes and without moving her lips I heard, “This was my gift to you, dear one.  I am as grateful as you are to connect and to have had this experience.  Share it with others.  Remember you are never alone.  You are loved.”

The pilot broke the reverie with his announcement that we could begin to deboard and in an instant, she was gone.  I don’t think I ever said much to her.  I began to berate myself for never even uttering the word thank you while she was here as I was so mesmerized by her aura.  Whispering to her spirit, I said, “Thank you my friend,” and I heard her voice reply, “You are most welcome.”

Shine On!

How I Wake Up Happy!

6887229_

First let me ask you…

1. Do you wake up at approximately the same time every day?

2.  How do you wake up in the morning?  Does your inner clock awaken you?  Kids/pets/spouse wake you up?  Alarm clock?

3.  Do you get around 7-8 hours of sleep a night?

4.  Are you a glass 1/2 full or glass 1/2 empty person?

5.  Are you a happy person normally?

In thinking up the above questions, there are so many factors which can wreak havoc on your mornings, so many variables that I am not sure I can solve your every morning dilemma!  However perhaps my experiences may benefit you in case you need a bit of help in the mornings.

As a former night owl (before children), I had such a tough time changing my ways to becoming a morning person, but now that I’m there, I love it!  It definitely took some time getting used to and it was a big learning curve ~ I mean, the whole early bird catches the worm thing boggled my mind before kids.  As you may know from experience, kids definitely change you in more ways than one!

My elder son was an early riser and until he hit puberty, before dawn was his wake up time and thus became mine begrudgingly.  Now, the tables have turned and it is I who is wide eyed and happily chirping away at dawn and it is he who is dragging a bit in the early morn!  But he taught me a great lesson because every morning when he’d awaken so early, he’d be happy to wake up and start the day and it is by his example (and my other son who has continued the tradition) that I am grateful to report that I Wake Up Happy!

Perhaps contributing to my happy awakenings is the fact that I am grateful to wake up every morning to see the day dawn!  I’ve spent the past 11 years with my health in turmoil so to me, to awaken everyday with a loving family and pets surrounding me is a great gift.  My routine is to wake up to the alarm clock (if my inner one hasn’t already awakened me) which is set about 10 minutes before I really need to get up.  I hit the snooze and then think about my day before I even put one foot on the floor!

I imagine a marvelous day ahead and if I know I have things to do, I imagine them going smoothly, I see in my mind’s eye  my travels safe and without traffic, I imagine smooth sailing in all business issues and I plan out my day to have a happy ending.  I smile to myself knowing that this is my secret weapon ~ I smile as much as I can throughout the day!  So I begin my morning with a smile before I even pull back the covers of my bed!

For me, a few precious minutes of solitude (well, with the cats of course) accompanied by a fresh cup of coffee is the key to a beautiful day so it’s how I begin!  I look outside at the sky, the yard and notice the beauty of nature around me.  I pet the cats and feel the tranquility which nestles around me when they purr.  I need those few minutes every morning so that when the rest of the family arises, I am cheery and full of optimism and organized.  You know the whole refrain, if Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!  So Momma does her best to be happy!

This morning I will admit, I wasn’t the happiest because I awoke with a migraine which has been plaguing me for a few days.  So I curtailed my imaginings and simply sang this refrain in my head,  as I am known to do when I need a little pick me up in the mornings.  There’s something about this song which just makes me happy.  Do you have a happy song that makes you smile?  If not, you can borrow mine!  Do you know it?  It’s  “Oh What a Beautiful Morning”, the song from Oklahoma!

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day.

I have a beautiful feeling, everything’s going my way!

Shine On!

Keep Smiling!

Advice from the Chocolate Factory…Do It!

Hold your breath, Make a wish
Count to three, Come with me
And you’ll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you’ll see
Into your imagination

We’ll begin with a spin
Traveling in the world of my creation
What we’ll see will defy explanation

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanna change the world?
There’s nothing to it

There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there you’ll be free
If you truly wish to be

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to do it
Wanna change the world?
There’s nothing to it

There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there you’ll be free
If you truly wish to be. *

Hop, Skip and Jump for Joy!

While we try to teach our children all about life,

Our children teach us what life is all about. Angela Schwindt

When was the last time you laughed aloud with abandon?  Can you remember when you simply enjoyed an hour without worrying about anything?  When did you last do something simply for the fun of it ~ whether it be throw caution to the wind and get the big size milkshake that you’ve been craving (yes, I adore ice cream!) or fall down in a pile of leaves just for the silliness of it?  Do you recall the last time you spontaneously hugged someone?  Or yelled at the top of your lungs with joy?

Have you ever watched children in a playground (not in that stalker way of course)?  They enjoy life ~ they throw back their heads in joyous abandon and whoop it up to the skies!  They passionately play, using their imaginations to slay dragons and bad guys ~  they are fairy princesses with the ability to wave magic wands and turn jungle gyms into castles ~ and best of all, everyone around them is their friend.

Somehow as adults, we lose a bit of that child within us ~ bills, worries, jobs, responsibilities all seem to overtake our daily lives and at times, we forget the simplicity of life which children enjoy.  The joy of imagination, the possibility of anything and everything, the idea that rainbows with pots of gold at the end actually exist seem to fade as the years pass.  That old saying, “youth is wasted on the young” comes to mind and yet, I don’t believe it.  “You are as young as you feel” supersedes it and I feel a renewed sense of peace.

Now some of us may not have had the best of childhoods, but I don’t believe that should make any difference.  Anyone can enjoy that happiness now.  It’s a choice because you are older now and you are able to choose how you look at life around you.  You can imagine slaying the dragons of negativity in your life with your imaginary sword or waving your magic wand and turning those rocks into diamonds with a flick of your wrist and few well-placed “abracadabras”.  It’s all available to you once you shrug off the adulthood filter that you’ve been hiding behind for so long.

So today your challenge is to renew the child within ~ fearlessly let out that joy that’s bubbling under the surface, take an hour to relax and just be without worries, own those sandy toes which are wiggling on the beach in your mind until you can actually get there…

Being a responsible adult doesn’t mean you have to be serious all the time and lose your childlike wonder…take a moment when you can and look up ~ spot a cloud and imagine what it looks like to you ~ you’ll be glad you did when you realize that once you tap into that joy, you will EN-JOY your day all the more!

So Cheers to Choosing Childhood Joys!

Ready to sip that milkshake, sitting on the beach, looking up at the sky and giggling with me?

I’ll meet you there in 30 minutes!

Ready, Set, GO!

Bumps in the Road

Amazingly Awesome Wisdom from a Friend

Sometimes there are speed bumps on the road of life.

And sometimes you just have to speed up, catch a little air and yell “Wahooo!”

Now that we’ve got our imaginations revving and some goals a’brewing, we can continue on the road of life, one step at a time!  Stepping out on the road begins the journey that is going to enrich our lives…one baby step at a time!

I love this card because sometimes when we are following our dreams, our road may not always be smooth.  We may encounter little bumps in the road of life.  But no worries…because we can change the way we view those bumps and make them speed bumps!  Use them for our advantage!

Don’t fear the bumps in the road…enjoy them when they arrive…yell “WaHOOO” and keep going!

Imagine!

I love to read!  You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 different types of books as I like to mix it up.  I usually have one personal development book going as I like to continue to learn.  I also enjoy a good fiction which can be light and airy with a touch of romance or even a good story as long as it’s one I can pick up and put down on a whim, but continue to want to finish.  Third type could be something someone recommends at that time which seems to reverberate within ~ it’s like there’s a tap on my shoulder which tells me to listen up and read this one now and this could be anything.  The last shoulder tapped book I read was The Go-Giver by Bob Burg.  By the way, great read!

My imagination wanders and I enjoy focusing on imagining my goals accomplished, my life as I see fit and peace within as well as out into the universe.  I can imagine all this and more although sometimes I find I limit my imagination by what I think can actually occur and try to negotiate how my goals will come to fruition.  I have to break that habit as it gets in the way of my imagination.

Have you an imaginary life?  Do you imagine what your life will look like in 1 year? 2 years? 3 years as you’ve accomplished your goals?  Have you sat down to write out your goals yet?  Please do…let’s work on them together!
