Sex On My Table?

sexonmytable

Oh my goodness.  This rental has more animal adventures than I could have ever dreamed of experiencing!  Well, here’s another one for the blog!  I hope this one brings you the mighty laugh it gave me!

I went outside to water my impatiens yesterday.  As I passed by the patio table, I saw these two bugs on my glass table.  They weren’t moving, but they were definitely connected.  I continued watering my plants, and checked back to see them again 15 minutes later.  They were still in the same position which what I’m supposing as in flagrante delicto.  At least that’s what it looked like to me!  I’m not even sure what they are.  Does anyone know?  Do you think they are having sex too?

So I took the above picture!  I wonder what this means in the spirit animal totem world?  Any entomologists out there want to share their knowledge?  I mean, are they really having sex on my patio table in full view of the world?  Well, I guess laughter is the best medicine!  By the way, 30 minutes later, they were gone – deed accomplished I guess!

I hope you got a little giggle on this Thursday morning!  It certainly gave me one!

Shine On!

Lion Roars a Confession

39815_

I am only 5’2″ tall, but in my heart, I am a lion ~ a lion who roars mightily but only occasionally aloud.  For you see, I identify with the mightiness of the lion and being a March baby, it’s understandable.  You know the adage, “March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.”  Well, today’s forecast for snow on my birthday, allows my inner lion to raise her soft-maned face to the skies and be thankful, with a roar that rattles the windows for even nature is getting in on my celebration!

Because it’s my birthday ~ one of the most special days of the year for me.

I’m not pompous, thinking that all should bow down to me on my day.  Instead it is I, who bends her lioness head in gratitude for all of the blessings both big and small and the coincidences which albeit tiny, matter magnificently.  For you see, there have been times when I wondered in my soul, if I would make it through to the following year’s birthday and thus the magnitude of being here to greet this day every year, has forged a path for me.

When I turned 40, I don’t think there was a person alive who didn’t know it.  Unlike many of my friends, I didn’t keep turning 40 a secret, I shouted from the rooftops that it was my birthday because I was so happy that I’d made it!  Now, my world-wide birthday happiness is just because I am so grateful for each and everyday ~  So blessed that I am here to feel the love that surrounds me, to count each and every blessing which has been gifted to me, to enjoy The Presents of Presence in every moment of the days of my life.

So please indulge me in my day ~ I believe that we should see the specialness in everyday and celebrate our lives in the same manner that we treat birthdays!

To honor the unique celebrity that is you ~ please join me in my birthday celebration today!

Be a part of Celebrate Our Blessings Day with me!

Roar Aloud in Gratitude and Shine On!

Happy Earth Day!

There is hope if people will begin to awaken that spiritual part of themselves,

that heartfelt knowledge that we are caretakers of this planet. -Brooke Medicine Eagle

Sunday is Earth Day for those of you who aren’t aware of this holiday.   April 22 marks Earth Day worldwide which is now in its 42nd year and observed in 175 countries. The original grass-roots environmental action helped to spur the Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act in the U.S. many years ago.

Perhaps as your own tribute, you can go out and enjoy what our Earth has to offer this weekend…look at the ground, the plants, the trees, the flowers, the animals and the sky.  Be thankful for Earth’s beauty which surrounds us everyday and for which we sometimes forget to notice.

Take this opportunity to show a tree that you care and ‘hug a tree!”

Just kidding…or not! 🙂

Happy Earth Day to you!

The Purpose of Life

The purpose of life is a life of purpose. -Robert Byrne

This morning I sat down and wrote an entire post based on the above card.  When I hit save and preview, it completely disappeared!  Obviously, my previous post was not to be ~ so I’ll begin again.

I think this quote says it all ~ live a life of purpose ~ we are all connected ~ help one another, be kind, be loving and take time to just ‘be’ as it were.  That is our purpose ~ to connect to others and to our hearts.  We rush about many times without taking the time to notice the beauty in all that surrounds us ~ the people, the Earth, the sky, the animals ~ and we get so wrapped up in our heads that our hearts don’t have a chance to catch up and at the end of the day, we don’t know where the day has gone.

Life is made of memories, of the connections we make everyday.

Don’t let today pass you by!

Connect!
