Welcome to The Presents of Presence
On New Year’s Eve of 2001, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my life changed in an instant as life often does. My life has evolved since then as I’ve endured 10+ surgeries, embarking on a journey that has been challenging and yet fulfilling as time goes by. I began this blog in March of 2010, not knowing where blogging would take me, but I knew that I was on a lifelong Journey of Discovery.
I started out wanting to tell my story, to help other women who are enduring breast cancer and to inspire myself and others to reach out beyond our comfort zones. I’m not just a breast cancer blogger anymore ~ I hope that perhaps you’ll find a tidbit here and there to take with you, to make you smile and to help you to keep taking baby steps on life’s path. I’m a great listener and I’m good at holding hands. So if you find you need a friend, here I am. ♥
As Alice Morse Earle wrote, “”The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it is called the present,” which is how my blog’s name has evolved to The Presents of Presence. I hope you enjoy your visit here ~ I enjoy connecting with you so please feel free to comment! I am blessed to say that it’s been such a priceless gift as I’ve met so many wonderful people and my life has opened up in such amazing ways.
Let me begin by telling you my story…

It never came back and I remember she took a small pill each day to help it stay a way. one day out of the blue at the age of 62 she died from an annurism. we were all so shocked, it wasn’t the cancer that took her in the end. love your background colors on your blog. uplifting and Pink!!!

Hello…
I just wanted to catch up and say “thank you. I appreciate your ‘follow’, knowing how many interesting and entertaining blogs out there.
Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on our fruit farm in southern Turkey. I also add my observations on life and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.
The blog has grown to some 1150 posts now; so if you are at a loose end one day, you’d be most welcomed to stay a while and have a trawl through. There are plenty of drop-down categories within the menu to help in said digging process. Saying that, if you have any comments, suggestions or concerns, feel free to let me know.
As for cancer; well that beast has, lime many others, invaded my life circle too many times. Praying that one day a cure will be found xx
Anyway, thanks again and hope you have a great day…

Yvonne, even though I have been reading your blog for awhile now, I would have had no idea you went through this, you have transcended your past and have truly become a inspiration to all! I am blessed to have met you in the blogging world! Heart to Heart Robyn
Heart to Heart Robyn ~ as an Earth Angel you know that we all have lives which help us to connect with others. I’m honored that you are here with me. ♥
I understand Yvonne how you must have felt, Cancer is a word that can promote great fear. I had suspected breast Cancer, the Doctor felt it was very advanced and she booked me into have the Mammogram and Ultra Sound on the Friday.
It was almost a week to wait and having just lost my Sister Julie because of Bowel Cancer, I was a mess but on the Thursday I said to God; if this is how my life is going to end on earth than I’m ready to come to be with You and I than experienced the most wonderful Peace, I no longer felt frightened.
When the woman was doing the tests the next day, she was taking so long I asked what was wrong, she had a diagram from my Doctor showing where the lump was but she said she couldn’t find it.
That was over 5 years ago and all my Mammograms have been clear since and I have had no more lumps and just like the other life threatening conditions I have been healed from, it never returned but I still suffer some pain and use God’s Balm with prayer for relief and if needed tablets and I thank God for both these, all good things come from God not bad.
Christian Love Always – Anne.
Anne, how wonderful!! Thank you for sharing your story. ♥ I’m so sorry to hear about Julie. My heartfelt sympathy to you. Keep your faith strong, stay healthy, keep sharing your story and shine your heartlight for all to see. You are an inspiration! ♥

Hello!
I stopped by here because of a comment you left at Dream Big Dream Often, and because i liked your tagline. Then when i read your About, i was startled to see some similarities to my situation. I was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly two years ago, and due to many complications have only recently completed treatment. Somewhere in between, i started a blog – but not about that.
Anyway, glad to come across your site – thank you for writing.
Katherine
