August 1st Rabbit Rabbit

The Presents of Presence-8

Happy August to all!   Continuing the tradition, please remember to welcome this month with Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit!

I want to thank you for all of your love and kindness in response to my Mom’s passing.  We are still transitioning into the reality that our Mom is no longer here on Earth. However, I do know in my heart that her presence will stay with me as we were so connected and that is a bond of unconditional love that continues.  I am truly grateful for all of the blessings that have been bestowed on me by her love and the love that she had for everyone.

As the new month of August unfolds, I ask that you hold your loved ones close.  Speak with kindness and give from your generous hearts.  Receive the kindnesses that come to you with gratitude.  Pass along your smiles to all.  Spread love, patience and generosity of spirit.  Our world needs healing and healing begins with us.

I am sorry I have not been writing often, nor reading your posts.  Please know I have missed you all and hold you dearly in my heart.  God Bless.

Shine On!

June First – Rabbit Rabbit

June First

Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit  came to mind this morning as it does at the beginning of each month.  What once began as a little family tradition and a monthly post here on The Presents of Presence has diminished over time.

There has been much turmoil lately in our world and I have been not posting as frequently for some time now.  I have missed you all very much, but other aspects of my life have prioritized themselves and blogging as you know, has taken a back seat on my to do list.

The dense dark vibrations of this world continue, but the choosing to be of the light, to shine our heartlights as we are meant to, in the most peaceful way possible emerges and blossoms in this month ahead.  What is not of love will dim and what is of love will grow as we connect with our inner heartlights and radiate kindness, compassion, and understanding with peace in our hearts.

We shine the light on truth and goodness.  We hold sacred the loving space in our hearts, minds and souls.  We join together with those who resonate similarly with gratitude for the blessings of awareness available to all of us.  May truth prevail.  May love surround you.  May mercy and forgiveness be yours.  May peace reign.

Shine On!

Rabbit Rabbit May 1st

Rabbit Rabbit may 1

Rabbit Rabbit! Happy May First Everyone!

This photo made me laugh since we’re in the midst of this quarantine and at some point, each of us has wanted to just get out of the house!  So, this May First I’m sending out healing that when we ease back into less restricted times, we will appreciate the little gifts of living and of course, The Presents of Presence.

Appreciate hugging family and friends when you see them.  Appreciate being able to take a drive in your car without threat of the virus.  Appreciate your health and freedom.  Appreciate all the little things that we may have taken for granted.

As a family, we have been blessed and I pray that you have as well.  So far, none of us have contracted the disease to our knowledge and we are hunkered down safe and sound in our home together.  We have bonded under the circumstances and been grateful for all of the blessings.

I pray that you and your family are healthy, happy and safe as well.  Please keep shining your heartlights and know that you are all in my prayers.

Shine On!

Rabbit Rabbit White Rabbit April First

April First Rabbit

Happy April Fool’s Day!  Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit!

Well, here we are my friends.  It seems like a bad April Fool’s joke that we are all on lock-down with the CoronaVirus and the aftermath of terror that it has been striking in so many people’s lives.  But the truth of the matter is clear.  We are all quarantined in one way or another at this time in order to not spread the virus to others.

I hope this post finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe.  We are doing well here although I do have to go to the food store at some point because we are running low on a few items.  Trying to get delivery or pick up times for grocery items has been sold out so there’s no other option except to go myself.  The last time I was in a store over a week ago, there were many empty aisles of shelving including for toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, bottled water and chicken or fresh meat.  The fellow shoppers were stressed and it was not a pleasant experience.  But today or tomorrow, I will go back to see what I can find.  How is it near you?

In other news though, the flowers have been blooming and I see the happy yellow daffodils swaying in the breeze.   Clover (the rabbit) has been out and about and does not hop away when she sees us anymore.  She is content to continue nibbling on her favorite green clover in the yard without worry that we will bother her.  Fatty the groundhog has been tamer as well.  He’s been out moseying through the yard lately and seems to have lost some weight.  The birds have been singing loudly too as well as the frogs at night.  It’s very early to be hearing the frogs here.  When I stepped out to bring the garbage out there was a little frog (the size of my thumb) on the door sill.  He didn’t even bother to jump when I walked over him.  Lucky for him, I saw him there and stepped over him so as not to disturb him.

I pray the new month of April will bring us all health and tranquility.  Stay safe my friends.  Reach out to friends and family.  Enjoy the simplicity of these days as Mother Earth heals a bit.  Stress and strain can wreak havoc on patience so try to stay calm.  Count your blessings.  Be kind.  Keep shining your heartlights. in the darkness.  Hope and love are key ingredients to healing.

Shine On!

Rabbit Rabbit March 1st

rabbitrabbitmarch1

If you’ve been a part of The Presents of Presence for any length of time, you know what today is, right?   Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit!  Come on, say it with me!  Did you remember this morning?  If not, let’s say it now!

I was actually up late last night and so at 12:01am, I said it before I went to bed.  But then I said it again this morning as I drank my coffee.  I figured twice in one day would make the month extra special and who doesn’t want an extra special March!

March is the month of Leprechauns and searching for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!  A lucky four leaf clover and all the joy that comes as Spring arrives.  Surely I’ll be seeing my little bunny (aptly named Clover) soon.  I’ve been talking about him for awhile so if you’ve missed it, you can see here that coincidentally on another March 1st I wrote about him and added a bunch of links to his photos.

I wish you all a month full of joy and the best of luck!  Keep shining your heartlights and take the time to notice the goodness all around you, especially in nature.  Soon we’ll see our favorite critters come back into our yards.  Who are you looking forward to seeing again?

Shine On!

Rabbit Rabbit 2020

rabbitrabbit2020

Well, we made it to 2020!  Happy New Year to all of you dear friends!  I hope you remembered to say Rabbit Rabbit!  Don’t worry if you didn’t, you can say it now!  Repeat after me….Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit!  Whew…I feel better now.  Don’t you?

I hope you had a lovely New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day today!  How did you spend last evening?  Did you do anything exciting?  I spent a quiet evening on New Year’s Eve which has become a treat for me.  At the stroke of twelve when the Times Square ball was dropping, my phone lit up with phone calls and text messages from beloved family and friends and I felt the love!  There’s nothing like connecting with loved ones who wish you all the best in the new year!

It was a special night for me.  A time of reflection and of gratitude for I was diagnosed eighteen years ago with cancer on New Year’s Eve.  It seems so very long ago when I heard those dreaded words.  A lot has happened in my life since then for which I’m grateful.  But most of all, I’m grateful that I am still here surrounded by love.

I appreciate the simple blessings in my life and the connections that have stood the test of time.  I couldn’t have endured this life journey without my precious friends and family who have remained by my side with kindness and loving support.  I am grateful for all of you who are reading my blog too.  My blogosphere friendships have been an amazing gift to me and I love to connect with you when you visit me.

I hope that 2020 brings you all an abundance of blessings with a heaping serving of health, wealth, love and happiness!  May this year be our best yet!  Keep shining your heartlights!

Rabbit Rabbit December First!

Rabbit Rabbit December First

Well my dear friends, it’s December First which means it’s time to say Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit!  Did you remember?  Well, if you didn’t, you can say it now!

The holiday season is here and with it comes all of the traditions that we’ve built up over the years.  Do you have holiday traditions at your home too?  What are they?

For us, it’s always been that we go to ‘our place’ to choose a live cut Christmas tree and then we bring it home, water it, let it acclimate to our home temperature and then decorate it the next day.  But we’ve changed it up this year.  Yes, I bought my first artificial tree for Christmas.  Me!  Whose tradition was a cut tree because I love the smell of balsam!  Me – who’s never thought artificial trees looked real enough.

But guess what?  I decided to go with the flow and I’m so happy I have!  Change is good!

Do you have an artificial tree or a real one?  I’ll admit it’s a new experience for my children as we all loved the live cut tree, but this new one is a great substitute.  It was really easy to set up and it’s full!  I bought some of those balsam scentsicles so that the tree smells real even though we know it’s not.  It’s pre-set with lights and even though I’ve always been a white light girl only, I’m enjoying the twinkling colored lights as well.

Sometimes I think we get bogged down with the limiting thought that the holidays have to be a certain way because “it’s tradition.”  Sometimes people have difficulty with not getting their way when it comes to holiday traditions.  But life is ever expanding and changing.  Traditions are lovely, but they’re not set in stone.  Life is fluid.  We have to go with the flow and change with the new situations as they arrive.  I know it’s not easy to expand our thinking especially when we strongly feel that we’ve always done it this way, so that’s the way it has to be.  But it really doesn’t.  Besides, traditions can be stifling over time and changing it up can add a breath of fresh air!  You never know, you may even enjoy the change like we have with the colored lights and an artificial tree!

As I sit here relaxing with the colored lights on, I’m smiling.  As it gets darker outside, I will push the new tree light remote and change the lights to white because I like them in the dark.  I always feel like white light is healing when it shines into the darkness.

Happy December First to you!  Whatever you’re doing, keep shining your heartlights!  Go with the flow and expand your thinking.  You may find unexpected happiness when you allow new traditions to emerge from the old ways!

Shine On!

Rabbit Rabbit July 1st!

RabbitRabbitJuly1st

Welcome back to a timely Rabbit Rabbit starring my favorite little outside bunny Clover!  While she’s not white, she’s so sweet and not afraid of me, which of course, makes my heart sing with joy!  We can sit quite companionably outside in the sunshine without her fearing me.  I have seen her with another bigger bunny recently, but that one and I have not met yet.  We shall see.  Perhaps we will have baby bunnies here?  Wouldn’t that be luck for the month of July!  Imagine all those pattering rabbit feet hopping across my grass!  I can only imagine how delightful that would be!

I hope you all have a lovely month ahead filled with all that this wonderful life has to offer.  Stay present and kind.  Shine your heartlights.  Be grateful for what we have in this present moment and allow the presence of peace to be yours.

Shine On!

Another Belated Rabbit Rabbit

anotherbelatedrabbitrabbit

Well my friends, it’s another belated Rabbit Rabbit post.  I have been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to tend to my blog, nor to check in on my sweet blogging friends.  I hope that all of you are doing well!  One of these days I will be able to have some time to catch up, but in the meantime, please know that I still am saying Rabbit Rabbit every first of the month and I hope you are too!

What I’ve learned recently (and I’ve known for quite some time) is that change is inevitable and it pushes us out of our comfort zones in ways in which we would never have learned those life lessons.  Even when we are in the midst of an upheaval, life goes on.  Daily life continues with all of its responsibilities.  Onward marching as the days go by and we are just a blip in this big Universe.

To those who are close with us, we are not just a blip, but an integral part in the world that we’ve created.  A microcosm in our soul family unit.  Our place in that small portion of the Universe is important and for that, I’m grateful.

Situations challenge us to learn those soul lessons of forgiveness, empathy, compassion, kindness and loving acceptance even when the struggles to find them are real.  Holding onto the poison of the past helps no one, especially those of us who find that allowing and letting go are the keys to health, peace and love in our daily lives.  Counting our blessings and appreciating all that we have spiritually helps beyond measure in healing.  Expanding our hearts to hold the heartlights of those who have taught us these life lessons is key to moving forward in our soul journey towards the light.

Allow me to embrace you all as we continue to shine our heartlights!  I hope that what’s left of June continues with peace and love for you.  If you’re having some challenges, remember that change is inevitable and can many times be helpful even when we can’t see how or why at the present moment.

Shine On!

Rabbit Rabbit March 1st

Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit White Rabbit!

With snow on the ground and some in the air, what a way to begin March!  As you may remember, March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb!  But since it’s March First, you know what we do here – say Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit White Rabbit!

Traditions are comforting at times.  There’s something about a fresh start every month to light the way, especially as we await Spring.  Of course, every day is a fresh start, every moment can be a fresh start so that’s not all that unusual.  I think it’s what you make of the fresh start that’s important.  Don’t you?

So today, as with every first of the month, I say, Rabbit Rabbit to you all!  May the coming month be filled with love, light and luck!

Shine On!
