Soup, Snow And A Saturday

SoupSnowandaSaturday

I have the biggest smile on my face because it’s snowing outside.  Add that it’s Saturday and my sons are home with me makes my smile grow!  I already put a chicken on to make homemade chicken soup so we’re all set!  What a glorious day it will be for us!

It’s the perfect ending to winter break for our family because next week begins school again.  So in the meantime, I’m loving this day.  Wouldn’t you?

I could sit and watch the snow fall for hours.  I love the smell in the air when it snows.  Have you ever noticed it?  I love that after a snowfall I can go in my backyard and see the tracks from all the wildlife – deer, groundhog, birds and of course, my rabbits – and how they’ve been out and about in the snow.  How grateful and blessed I’m feeling today!  Can you tell?

I hope you have a lovely day filled with all the comforts of home and healing because that’s the plan here today.  Hold your loved ones close and enjoy the Presents of Presence!

Shine On!

  1. I hope your heart shines on dear lady. Can never compare living in the city of concrete to the splendor of being able to watch mother nature in all her glory 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘 🌺

    • You have your dolphins though, don’t you? 🙂 I hope you’re faraway from the horrendous fires. God Bless you and all who live there. Sending healing hugs to you! Thanks Mark! :)♥

      • Thank you for blessings kind lady, and oh yes, the dolphins are always frolicking in the surf. We even had a baby humpback whale near our rock wall the other day (story here) .
Not sure where mom was 😀 🐬 🐳
And thankfully all of my fires around me started in November last year and our firefighters up here were brilliant. Lots of smoke and ash for couple of months or so which doesn’t do the lungs real good but its better than losing everything.
Our country always has fires, drought or flash floods…just not all together like now. Up north just got drenched (300mm in 12hrs) leaving submerged cars etc. First real rain anyone has had for a quite a while 😀
        Thank you, and hugs returned in kind 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘 🐬 🐳 🌺

      • Hi Mark! I’m happy to hear the dolphins continue their frolicking. How sad about the baby humpback. Thank you for sharing the article. I hope they figure out what’s wrong with him/her.
I’m glad your fires are over, but we are all so saddened here by the news and the human/animal losses there. I’m glad you’re safe and I guess our prayers for rain were overdone, huh?
Big hugs as always…it’s always a delight to read your messages! 🙂 ♥

      • Thank you dear lady, big hugs returned in kind. And it all comes as it will, I think mother nature needed a new start. We have been interfering too much so she cleaned it all out. There are many pockets of untouched but it will take some time to regrow everything. The heartening part is the talk of more help for everyone, firefighters, wildlife reserves etc, etc. As usual it takes a calamity to stir the shirkers. I believe it all when I see it though 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘 🐬 🐳 🌺

      • God bless as you all go on this journey of regrowing. Sending hugs to all there. I still haven’t downloaded the emojiis. I will do it soon!! Thanks for the link! 🙂

  2. I wish I was there to enjoy that snow with you! I absolutely LOVE snow but we just don’t get it here anymore and I miss it SO much! I have such happy memories of playing in the snow as a child and taking moonlight strolls in the snow. Such fun! Yes, I do remember that smell!! Thanks for such a lovely post. Enjoy that chicken soup…. and your sons!

    • Thank you Gail! I hope you had a good day and I wish I could bottle the smell up and send it to you! I find it magical to be outside in the snow and the quiet. Perhaps one day you’ll be in a place where it snows and you can love it again!!
