“One starts an action simply because one must do something.”
– T.S. Eliot
I found this quote which for me perfectly answers the question many of us have been asked.
Why do you blog?
Is it to meet others? Is it to practice the craft of writing? Is it to inform? Do you blog to promote your business? Connect with others? Share experiences? Gain international friendships? What is your reason?
Please share!
Shine On!
xo
I blog to amuse myself and to share the view I see out “my window”. If anyone else enjoys it with me… all the better.
And we are with you Ray! ♥
I blog because I enjoy it and like to read what other people are thinking about life on this planet. I do have a business tutoring in writing and public speaking and editing books, brochures, etc. and if anyone wants my help, that would be wonderful,
but it is not my primary reason for blogging.
I love to hear the stories of your life in your blog! What a lovely way to connect blogging and business! Keep shining! ♥
I blog
Because
I love

Thank you Yvonne! And take care!
That is such the perfect answer coming from you ~ and in poetry! Frederic, I am so happy we’ve connected! ♥
moi aussi ♥♥♥♥ 🙂
I blog because it is great fun meeting other people all over the world. Learning of other cultures and travelling along to different places in photos of other bloggers. I like to post and make ohters happy and smile, bring some sunshine into lives.
Ute you absolutely make us smile with your posts! I love learning about others as well and I am grateful that we’ve connected! ♥
I blog for several different reasons—-to become a better writer, to share with the community of bloggers, to share what’s going on in my life with family and friends that I can’t be with physically, to feel like I am contributing somehow to someone somewhere, and because of the people that I find through blogging like YOU!
Beth Ann, I love that we’ve connected! It makes blogging such a thrill to meet and get to know others! Keep shining! ♥
Helps me pass the time away…
And you keep us coming back to your blog! Great posts! ♥
Thank you..
I began blogging 8 years ago because I wanted to instill the discipline of daily morning writing — and blogging seemed the best way to keep myself accountable.
I am still blogging 8 years later because it continues to inspire my day, and it connects me with people — like you and all the other amazing people I’ve met and connected with through this milieu. I have a deep-seated desire to make a difference in the world, and I believe, sharing the awe and wonder I experience everyday is one way to do that.
And Louise, you make a difference every single day in every post as you continue to shine! I love that you’ve been blogging for 8 years! Wowsza! Keep up the great work! ♥
I began blogging the perks of having cancer (www.perksofcancer.com) as a little project to keep my spirits up during treatments. I never imagined where my “little project” would take me and how it has enriched my life!
And even more than that, how much you have enriched the lives around you! Making a difference is key! Keep it up! ♥
I started blogging a little over 6 years ago as a way to promote our business. Really love meeting new people also.
And we love connecting with you Kathy! So happy we’ve connected! ♥
Louise suggested it to me and I thought, why not? 🙂
Diana xo
Indeed, why not, Diane?!
♥
And we are so grateful that you did! Thanks Diana and Louise! ♥
🙂 !
I started blogging because it was a fun way for me to (over)share what was going on in my life. It’s still fun but I have also grown to love the blogging community (including you!) that has embraced me, warts and all. 🙂
No warts, only a loving being, that’s who you are! We love you for your truth telling, the giggles you give us and for your honesty. Keep shining Jill! ♥
I had a lot of stories in my head about my cat, and I wanted to do something with that, so I started blogging about my cat…actually, my cat started blogging and needed a typist…Anyway, I had no idea that it was a place to meet so many people along the way, and that there are so many more who had the samen ideas, that makes it so much fun. You meet so much people, you see so many lovely, different blogs, creativity in different ways, people and animals that you can easily enclose in your heart, People that make you laugh and cry. There is so much to learn here and I’m so proud to be a part of this community. For me it’s the place to be at this moment, I don’t want anything else 🙂 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂
Happy Caturday to you ~ and many pawkisses to you and your lovely felines! I love to hear what they have to say when they get you typing! Keep sharing! ♥
It started as a way to share my creations and journey, but has become so much more than that. It is now a way to connect with many good-hearted people around the world. People like you.
Russ
Oh Russ, I feel the same way about you and your writings! You’ve accomplished so much in the short time I’ve known you! All your books, your songs and your creativity not to mention your amazing blog! Keep shining! ♥
For me it started out as a way to let ‘stuff’ out. Now, it has become so much more. A part of my life, a need that I must fulfill.
It’s how I feel as well! Keep up your great work! ♥
To express what my heart seemingly yells at me to express…
And thank goodness you listened because look at all you’ve accomplished with your amazing poetry! ♥♥♥
F.G.M. beautiful reason to blog!
♥
Great question. I blog as a kind of “therapy” – it’s like a diary or prayer, as well as a tribute to God, written with the view of also encouraging others.
And you do the most amazing job of it! So happy we’ve connected! ♥
It started out to practice my writing – little did I know I would meet some wonderful people so I guess I stay blogging because I enjoy writing and I love my fellow bloggers – you included!! 🙂
Oh Patty, you know how much I adore you! I am blessed that we connected ~ big hugs to you as we all walk this path of life together, in friendship! xo
Always in Gods love! 😉
I started to blog to keep a record of my Lymph node transfer which was very new surgery and I felt I should keep a record as I could find nothing from patients on the internet…. From there it GREW to become a resource for people having this surgery, we now have a community of LNT patients!!! I had no idea how it would impact others and also help me to feel less isolated with this health issue.. ❤️❤️❤️plus the amazing blogging community I am now part of!! 😃😃
Helen, that is why I love your blog because you have incorporated everyone into it ~ you’ve made your own special community of helpers along the path of lymph node difficulties! You shine Helen! Keep healing! xoxo
I blog on a twist of an arm from a friend. 😉
I enjoy sharing pictures, thoughts & poems.
And – I continue to blog because of the peeps I’ve met along the way. It’s great to have met such wonderful people that I would not have probably met otherwise. Now I have peeps around the world!
{Abrazos}
Please send our gratitude to your friend for the twist of arm! So happy we’ve connected! ♥ Abrazos
I started blogging after going deeply within for answers and finding some.. and seeing others who are still suffering… some close to me.. and this was the only way I could reach them.
And you reach so many of us! xoxo
I was quickly amazed at the friendships and support here ❤
Oh me too and the fast connections! Ahh, just increasing the love in the hemispheres! ♥
❤
To be honest, the reason why I started blogging is because of my online store…but I think I have somehow strayed away from the initial intention as time passes by and it has already been 2 years…LOL…
Cheers!! 😀
I love that you have been blogging for so long! I love that you include all sorts of wonderful information on your blog! You have a growing business and a thriving blog! ♥
Thank you so much for your sweet encouragement, my friend!
Cheers!! 😀
♥♥♥
No matter what, do have a wonderful and beautiful weekend ahead, my friend!! Cheers~ 😀
You too dear sweet one! ♥
Thank you!! Cheers!! 😀
