April Showers Bring May Flowers

April Showers

Life is not a highway strewn with flowers,
Still it holds a goodly share of bliss,
When the sun gives way to April showers,
Here is the point you should never miss.

Though April showers may come your way,
They bring the flowers that bloom in May.
So if it’s raining, have no regrets,
Because it isn’t raining rain, you know, (It’s raining violets),
And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list’ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.

And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list’ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.

  1. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever actually heard that song. How fun to hear the melody. Happy Spring, my friend. Happy April.

Sorry to have been away. I don’t know how many posts I may have missed, but it’s going to be a busy month for me–traveling to the beach, teaching a week-long workshop, having friends visit from the US, and then going home to the US myself for a week! Maybe all of this happening at once is appropriate, given that it’s April, after-all. When it rains,, it pours. Right?

    Hugs from Ecuador,
    Kathy

  2. So… as I look out my window at all the snow that dumped itself on the ground over the weekend, I wish and dream and yearn for April showers! 🙂

fortunately, I’m off to Vancouver Wednesday night where April showers and flowers are a guarantee! 🙂

Have a shiny and glorious day Yvonne!

  3. Oh Noooooooooo….. I didn’t say Rabbit, Rabbit yesterday….
I wonder if that’s why I got a darn migraine. UGH!
A day late hoping & hopping that it’ll still take.
    Rabbit, Rabbit 🙂
