Hit a Home Run!

11585211_You can’t hit a home run unless you step up to the plate.

How many times have you said to yourself that you want to hit a home run, get a goal, score points, make something, do something, accomplish something ~  succeed at something etc?  And how many times did you really accomplish your goal?  And how many times did you quit before you even gave yourself a chance to succeed?

I’ve found that there are times where I have the goal in mind but somehow I neglect stepping up to the plate because I’m frightened.  Does that happen to you too?  You fail before you even begin and you can give yourself a million senseless reasons and give into the fear of failure without ever stepping up to the plate?

Well, today’s the day to step up to the proverbial plate and swing!

You can do it!  I know you can!  I’m your biggest fan!

Shine On!

  1. Thanks! I am continuing to take steps ..to get mindfulness in the school..to trust myself..to let go more..while I am scared to death. I appreciate this very much ♡
So I have already not failed by taking steps.
Letting go of what succeeding will look like..

  2. I say to people that sometimes you have to break the goal down into smaller steps so that stepping up to the plate is a little easier to achieve…

  3. i was on the school baseball team in sixth grade and was part of a baseball tournament at another school. i caught my first “fly ball” that day. i was so happy that i couldn’t contain my excitement..just continued jumping up and down while my team waited for me to throw the ball. silly me 😛

that same day, when it was my turn to bat, i swung the baseball bat so hard to hit the ball..and i did. i stood there for a moment though because i was still holding onto the baseball bat – but only the bottom half of it – still in my hands. the other half of the bat flew far into the field, further than the ball 🙂

i didn’t get a home run but i sure felt like a winner that day!
