All Saint’s Day ~ El Día de Muertos ~ The Day of the Dead ~ is a day of remembrance for those who have passed ~ for those who etch themselves on our hearts, never to be forgotten. Today I honor them all and I hope you will give a moment to honor your loved ones who have passed as well. Just for a moment, be grateful for having had the chance to know them. Blessings don’t always come wrapped up in a pretty bow. Sometimes it takes awhile to know what was a blessing. ♥
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
And some have gone, and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I love them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I’ll never ever lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

My Memere met her husband on Halloween 1925 and she died on Halloween 1994. My treat that year was receiving a birthday card from her after she had passed. Blessed indeed. And I love this song Yvonne, always have and now, even more. Thank you friend, for always knowing and freely sharing, the little things that make us grateful. xo
Rhonda, big hugs to you and a prayer for Memere. I am grateful for our friendship. xo
As am I and thank you. xo

Thank you for the invitation, Yvonne. I am pausing to remember my grandparents and aunts and uncles today…
