The Secret of Success

“People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things.

When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success.”
—Norman Vincent Peale

In stretching out of my comfort zone these last few weeks, I’ve found that when I let go of all of the stuff I carry around in my head, you know, those nagging thoughts of negativity, I’m finding that success is coming my way.  I’m becoming less attached the the outcomes and more involved in the taking of baby steps towards my goals!  Are you having the same experiences?

Have  you been stretching these past few weeks with me?  Are you finding that your life is opening up a bit more for the better?  Let me know what’s going on with you!  If I can help in any way, you know I’ve got my hand held out for you!  When I focus on simply stretching out of my comfort zones everyday in whatever shape that takes, I am finding that I am enjoying life more ~ I am having more success ~ I am making more connections with others ~ and in turn, I am able to help others to find their success as well!

Norman Vincent Peale wrote many inspirational books, one being  The Power of Positive Thinking.  Even though this book it was originally published in 1952,  its fundamental truths continue to hold today.

So, on this Happy Monday, I thought I’d start the week off with a bit of success for us all!  I am grateful to Paul Mark Sutherland for today’s quote ~ please click here  to be directed to his blog called Goal Habits.com which is one of my favorites that I read every morning for inspiration!

Shine On!

  1. What a great reminder. I read that book years ago and it seemed so remarkable at that time. And now we know we do have that power, in fact we always had that power. We just need reminders like this one. Thank you!

  2. Stepping out of my comfort zone resonates with me and is what I am striving for this week. I have experienced panic attacks on and off since I was 23 which has given me “excuses” sometimes not to step out and try things… This week I will put the panic in the back seat and try new things. 🙂

  3. Wow, thank you so much for your kind words and sentiments. And for the shout out! NVP has been a fave of mine for a loooong time. I’ve read all of his books, and re-read “Positive Thinking” regularly. I have also been a long time reader of Guideposts. He had such wisdom.

Baby steps are a tried and true method for goal achievement …so you go girl!

Thank you, again. I hope all is well. 🙂 ~Paul

    • Paul ~ Thanks for allowing me to share your amazing quotes, blog and website. I truly look forward to them everyday! I first read NVP more than 20 years ago and I find that his books are regular rereads for me as well! I enjoy Guideposts too! So happy we’ve connected! ♥

  4. I will need all this positive thinking in the next few days. I’m going for a series of meetings, which I’m hoping, will help me with my mission.

  5. Just loving the imagery..staying on the red carpet. Nice. 🙂
I have been reminding myself I am right here. What can I do from from right here. Right in this spot.
Stretching a little ..going to have coffee with an old friend/mentor.
    Love –
