Inner Hotshot University!
Happy Friday Y’All! Are you revved up and ready to ROAR? Now don’t hide from me, I’m not asking you to cure cancer today. I”m just asking you to think of one thing that you can do to stretch out of your comfort zone a bit. Just one little baby step or even a big huge step if you’re ready! This is your life journey ~ I’m just here to help you take that step.
Anyone can participate ~ and please do! Pass it along! This is just for fun!
RULES:
1. Commit to something outside your comfort zone.
2. Comment below to tell us you’re participating!
3. Share your commitment for the week
(or if you don’t want to share, just tell us that you’re participating)!
4. Next Friday, we’ll compare notes on how it went!
5. Check FB The Presents of Presence Click here! for inspirational posts during the week.
6. Know that we are rooting for you! You’ve got peeps!
So I’ll start ~ it’s only fair, right? Ok, so my stretch out of my comfort zone for this week is that:
I’m going to say YES to opportunities that come my way!
Now let’s be clear here, I won’t do anything illegal, immoral or against my will (nor should you)! But I’ve gotten comfy just doing what I want to and what I feel like doing which isn’t always a good thing. For example, I’ve wanted to try Zumba and I have a friend who’s invited me to take a class with her numerous times, but something always comes up. This past week, I awoke with a migraine on Wednesday and had to cancel. Although I really wanted to go, I think that sometimes my mind plays tricks with me and gave me a migraine because I feared looking foolish in front of a class because I would be new and wouldn’t know the steps. In my fear of feeling foolish, I missed out on an opportunity to try something new, to giggle a bit, to get a bit of oxygen pumping with a little cardio and to enjoy time with my friend! Does this make sense to you? Have you self-sabotaged before and not even realized it? Am I the only one out there?
Because the younger me, wouldn’t have worried about looking foolish, I would have just jumped at the chance to dance and burn calories! I liked that Inner Hotshot who wasn’t afraid to try new things! So I’m going to go for it this week!
So what’s your Inner Hotshot going to do this week?
Remember you can either commit to doing one thing like trying something new (like a Zumba class) and/or you can commit to a change in your life (like saying Yes to opportunity)! Make sure it’s something that stretches you out of your comfort zone and puts a little fire in your belly! Since this is the first week, just enjoy the change in thinking. Don’t worry about what you choose ~ we don’t care here ~ we just want you to stretch your wings a bit ~ put a little Spring in your step!
~ Get back that Inner Hotshot ~
Shine On!
xo
P.S. I just saw the Daily Prompt and thought I’d include it as it’s a bit similar ~ with all of your Presents of Presence peeps by your side cyberly, you are guaranteed not to fail! So now what are you going to do?
Daily Prompt: Too Big To Fail
Tell us about something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail (and tell us why you haven’t tried it yet).

I am so in! I’ve been avoiding doing workshops to grow my lifecoaching business and I was asked yesterday if I would do one. I said okay, but knew I would be too afraid to take the next step. Today, I’m making that call…wish me luck! And thank you!!!
Woo Hoo! Congrats to you ~ go for it! You’ve got peeps rooting you on here! So happy for you! ♥

This came to me last night before I fell asleep and it’s more mental but know it would really help me. Most of the time I am fine but holidays like Mother’s day bring the past back and the family situation. I didn’t realize how much anger was in me still even after 8 years. This week I am going to let the anger go. It’s time and know it will be better for me in the long run. ♥
Oh terrific idea! I knew it would come to you! Go for it! So happy to hear you are joining us! ♥
Thanks. At the end of the day it is sometimes easier to think, I find. Glad that I joined in ♥
Me too! ♥

This probably sounds silly but I am going to break free of wearing my workout clothes when I’m NOT working out. It’s become my comfort zone/ crutch/ uniform. I need to break out of my rut and ditch the Lycra for awhile!!! 🙂
It’s not silly at all! Back into fun clothing is a great idea! Ban the uniform gym clothing except for just that! Now I need to exercise more and find some gym clothes! ♥
I have a bigger project going on… my next task for that — back to the G-Y-M for the first time in over a decade… and publicly for the first time since 1986.
I’m participating 🙂
Not sure what that will look like-
I guess that’s part of the process for me-
Trusting that I don’t have to have things all figured out.
Laurie
Laurie ~ I love it! I think that’s a good one for me too! So happy you’re with us! ♥
Me too 🙂
So, it turned out that what I needed to do was take a break from trying a little too hard to figure stuff out. I am taking a little break from writing on my blog. -continuing to listen a little more intently to my heart and open to following it where it leads. My little daughter is graduating preschool on Thursday so that is part of what I will be doing as well. I have a whole list of things I have been wanting to try out- but there’s time. I wanted to check in before I took off.
Much love-
and I’ll be back!
Laurie
I love that you are stretching out of your comfort zone to take the time needed to listen to yourself. Congrats on your daughter’s graduation! Big hugs! Enjoy every moment. I’ll always be here when you get back ~ always happy to hear from you! ♥♥♥
♡
Love this! I’m in! Continuing with my second degree black belt. 🙂
Great! So proud of you! ♥
In!! Commiting to do what I want to do more — hitting the city for the day Sunday with a friend and I promise I will be gone the whole day.
Terrific! Love that you’re doing something for you! ♥
I’m in. Not sure what adventure we’ll embark on, but I’ll make sure to keep you up to date on the progress. May everyone embrace the journey as they travel into the unknown. Life is the adventure we create. In situations like this don’t think of success or failure, remember that you’ll learn from the experience. Through success, failure, fear and triumph we expand our horizons. Enjoy the ride!!
I couldn’t have said it better! Thank you Joel! Welcome to the Dream Team! ♥

I know I’m late to the game here, but I’m in too! I haven’t been to the gym much lately, but this week I commit to going at least 4 times! I need to get my routine established before the kids are out of school!! I’ll report back with my success!!
I love that you will be reporting back with your success! Big hugs to you! ♥
